Hi everyone. 
Sorry about being gone so long. I’ve been focusing on school and this kind of fell by the wayside. I decided that I wanted to return to posting stuff about Maplestory, and wow do I have a lot of things to catch up on!
Demonslayer, Mercedes, Cannoneer
When these classes came out during the break, I took the time to level them up to semi-decent levels. I think all of mine are nearly at 120 or past 120. The reason I leveled them was for the buffs they give, and they really do give great buffs! I think Demonslayers give 10% bossing damage, Mercedes gives extra experience, and the Cannoneer gives +10 all stats or something. I think they’re definitely worth making if you’re considering making them, even if it’s just to buff your main.
I really envy the Cannoneer’s storage space. >.> I kind of wish that I had that storage space on all my characters but it’s too bad that you can’t get that done. I ended up buying some more storage slot space for my main character but the rest of my characters will have to survive on the low amount of space given.
Legends Award Event and Evolving Ring III (and my new Dagger!)
During the winter break, there was a Legends Awards Event and evolving ring III event. I really enjoyed the Legends Awards Event and felt like I didn’t have to go out of my way to do much of anything for it, save staying logged in for characters and training my new Legends, which I was doing anyway. I ended up getting a lot of scrolls from there, including full SP reset scrolls, AP reset scrolls, and of course Advanced Enhancement Scrolls. Looking back on it, I wish I bought more AEE’s or something with my coins but I thought maybe the 1 handed dark scrolls would be a better idea. It’s too late to reset my Raven Horn Baselard Dagger now though.
I did get a Raven Horn Baselard dagger at around Winter Break. I think that was when the Music Box event came out (around when Mercedes came out) and I found someone selling one of them for 8 billion. I ended up purchasing that and scrolling it myself and I’m still working on the last two enhancement stars. It’s taking a lot to try to finish it and it won’t be as strong as if someone threw all pink 20% on it, but I’m happy with it!
Evolving Ring III was amazing – it gives a lot of great stats! It’s 10 attack too and so it’s 10 all stats 10 attack or something, one of the best rings ever. I ended up getting a ton of them, and even though Maplestory ran into some issues with server stability, I was able to get 13 of them completed or so. That’s pretty good right? I might sell them later when they’re worth more – or maybe I should sell them now, let me know in the comments.
I have to admit that I really disliked how the servers were constantly crashing. I guess it made me dislike the hackers and exploiters a lot more. I mean…I really don’t like it when people hack/exploit but generally it doesn’t affect me negatively and directly. But when people are crashing the servers so much that I can’t get online to play, that’s when I get really upset. 
Nebulite
One of the recent things that’s been put into Global MS is the Nebulite system. It’s basically like a trade-able potential line that you can put in any socketable item, and some potentials only go inside specific types of gear. (Very similar to the original potential system)
I think it’s kind of funny how transparent Nexon is when it comes to trying to rip off their customers. They released the nebulite in a way such that grade A nebulite is the current highest tier you can get and made the sockets free so that you can socket all your gear and put subpar things in them right away (and later they’re going to make S rank nebulite which is far better, making everyone resocket all their gear).
I’m going to just wait until the S ranks come out. Maybe there will be a higher rank later on but at least for now, I don’t really need any A ranks in my gear. I put one C rank nebulite for Physical Defense Ignore in my weapon but that’s it.
Hackers/Exploiters/Dupers
So I kind of also wanted to state my opinions on the hackers/exploiters/dupers. I hope this doesn’t offend anyone, but it’s how I feel and I won’t apologize for it.
I think that my biggest issue with a lot of people is that they flaunt their gear and they act like they’re all that, whether or not they’re “legit” or not. However, these days, it’s just that most of the people who do that are actually people who either duped items or bought duped items from people.
I tend to blame Nexon for this. If Nexon would just ban the people responsible for this kind of thing and wouldn’t just let them get away with it, there wouldn’t be such a big problem. Their inaction has kept people in the dark about how this will be dealt with and slowly, it’s become mainstream to simply buy the best gears from the dupers.
I think that at this point, everyone has a very personal and subjective set of lines they just won’t cross or things they think are just going too far. I personally have started to care less and less about the damage range I have compared to others. I will not buy from a known duper and I try not to buy anything that looks like it’s an obvious dupe. For example, I don’t buy the attack earrings and Rac Masks, or the VSS that people buy, nor do I buy duped weapons. I make my own things when I can, but even with this in mind, it’s impossible to get away from the dupes since most of the scrolls in the FM are duped.
Ah it’s such a horrible time to be on Maplestory. I was in the process of buying a couple items that I was pretty sure weren’t duped and they were going to be the finals things I needed to make a semi-decent Raven Horn Set, but the person scammed 100K NX off of me for his overall. I got the shoes so I’m kind of happy I got something out of that entire thing, but I wish that I was able to get an overall. Just remember everyone – don’t trust anyone! I went in knowing that I might lose something so I went one item at a time, but even then I kind of regret breaking my rule just to get a couple difficult to obtain items. At least I know it’s a legit item though. No Duper would have to scam to get NX. They would just make more of the same item, and I never saw that pair of Shoes in his shop again.

Recent Upgrades
So on Maple, besides just checking out all the content that came out, I decided to make a few upgrades. I really like how the Raven Horn Set looks and I really like the set bonuses. Actually, if you want my opinion, Raven Horn Set is the best set for Shadowers if you get the weapon as well. The bonuses give you so much attack and the final one gives you even more Boss damage. It’s really good!
Items I have now include a 12 attack Raven Horn Hat I got from a friend, which I’ve been trying to cube, a 10 attack Raven Horn Cape that I’ve been trying to cube too. I still have the Raven Horn gloves I made, and of course the Baselard. The new shoes I got are 22 attack and 15% all, and hm.. what else. I made some PVP gear for my character too! PVP is kind of fun though it does get to be stressful and takes up time.
